Homeless Connect is a twice-yearly community-inspired initiative that provides free services to Edmonton's homeless community. The events include mental health assessments, library services, foot care, haircuts, immunizations, birth control, pre-natal support, laundry, housing information, employment and training services.  it is coordinated by Homeward Trust, an Edmonton-based not for profit that provides leadership and resources towards ending homelessness in Alberta's Capital.

Homeward Trust approached me in 2010 to implement a design created for Homeless Connect by Woodward Design. I developed a static HTML+CSS site for Homeless Connect and have provided ongoing maintenance for the site. 

In May 2011, Homeward Trust requested a content management system.  I again worked with Woodward Design to implement a new site layout, and provided Homeless Connect with a Drupal instance configured for their needs.  This gives Homeless Connect the ability to grow their site organically without the need for significant investment in development resources.
